Clothing Swap

The Clothing Swap is an easy way to update your wardrobe for FREE! It is guilt-free shopping with no cost to your wallet. You simply bring in items you no longer wear, and pick out something new to you. In addition to clothing items for all ages, the Clothing Swap also includes shoes of all sizes, books and baby equipment.

Our next clothing swap will be held June 20, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.

Please use the form below to register for the event. Registration allows us to have enough resources available on the day of the Swap. If you plan to drop off items, please choose from one of the drop off times when you register:

  • Thursday, TBD from 3pm-6pm
  • Friday, TBD from 3pm-6pm

There are plenty of areas in which to serve and your assistance is highly valued and appreciated! Volunteers are eligible to pre-shop for 10 items the morning of the Swap. Thank you for your help!

Below are some questions and answers that may help you plan for this event.

Q: What is a “Swap”?

A: Everyone brings items which are no longer useful in their home and trades them for other things which will be enjoyed.

Q: How does a “Swap” event work?

A: Before the event toys, books and other items are sorted by type and placed on marked tables. During the “Swap” you are welcome to browse the tables and take whatever you can use for your family. There is no charge for anything! You are welcome to take what your family will enjoy.

Q: What kind of items can I bring?

A: We will accept gently used clothing and shoes of any size or type (men’s, women’s and children’s);  used or new backpacks and homeschool curriculum; and baby equipment. We will no longer accept household items. 

Q: Am I allowed to sell things that I get from this swap?

A: NO. We provide this community event in hopes to save families money. Please do NOT take items your family will not use. All remaining items are used to fund future swap events, or are donated to a local charity.

Q: Can I come even though I do not attend your church?

A: YES! We encourage everyone in the community who would like to come and participate. Feel free to bring friends,  the more the merrier!

Q: Do I have to bring a minimum number of items?

A: No. We would love to have you come join us for the fun, even if you do not have any items to contribute. There is no counting of items during drop off or before you leave. (We only ask “Number of Items” on the registration so that we can prepare an appropriate number of tables.)

Q: Can I drop things off before the event?

A: YES! We would prefer items to arrive ahead of time to allow better organization. We provide early drop off times during the week prior to our event. Please sign up to let us know when you plan to come. Drop off times are as follows:

  • Thursday July 25 from 3pm-6pm
  • Friday July 26 from 3pm-6pm

Q: I have other baby items. Can I bring those too?

A: YES. Any clean (non-expired) baby gear will be accepted.

Q: I may need to bring my children, is that ok?

A: In our church, we believe that family comes first. So children are always welcome, however, we will not have childcare for this event.
