Shopping

Life Bible Church hosts the Clothing Swap every summer as a way for us to give back to the community. The Swap brings us together to share gently-used clothing items we no longer need and “shop” for things we do.

Donate items you no longer wear and shop for something new. You are welcome to come shop even if you cannot donate at this time. In addition to women’s, men’s, & children’s clothing items, the Clothing Swap also includes shoes, jewelry, belts, educational books, and baby gear.

Our next Clothing Swap is Saturday, July 15th @10 am.

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

– Hebrews 13:16

Donating

Sharing is a beautiful thing, and the Swap provides the Holly Springs community an opportunity to serve our neighbors. Please use the form below to register for the event. Registration allows us to have enough resources available on the day of the Swap. If you plan to drop off items, please choose from one of the times when you register:

  • Drop-off dates: Tuesday, July 11, 10 am – noon; Wednesday, July 12th, 4-6 pm; and Thursday, July 13th, 6-8pm

Volunteering

There are plenty of areas in which to serve and your assistance is highly valued and appreciated! Volunteers get to shop early. Those who sign up to volunteer will be allowed to shop Saturday, July 15th, 2023 at 9 am.

Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk…without money and without cost.

– Isaiah 55:1

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The Swap is not “item for item.” Rather, it is a practical way that Life Bible Church shares with one another and the community at large. People register to drop off their items. Then, they come back on the day of the Swap to shop. It is that simple! Life Bible Church members, along with volunteers from the community, work to organize the donated items, help people on the day of shopping, and keep things running smoothly. We hope you will donate, volunteer, or both.

Before the event clothing and other items are sorted and placed on marked tables. During the Swap you are welcome to browse the tables and take whatever you can use for your family. There is no charge for anything! Please do not take items to resell (such as on Marketplace, Poshmark, Mercari, etc).

1. We welcome donations of men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing. Scarves, ties, belts, jewelry, and shoes will also be accepted.

2. We will also accept books, homeschool materials, educational games, & baby gear.

3. Please make sure all items are clean, recently washed, and free from smoke and pet hair.

4. Please carefully examine your items to make sure they are in like-new/gently-used condition.

5. No holes, no stains, no tears, no profanity, no lingerie, and no used underwear will be accepted. Bras will be accepted.

NO. We provide this community event in hopes to save families money. Please do NOT take items your family will not use. All remaining items are used to fund future swap events, or are donated to a local charity. Again, please do not take items to sell on Poshmark, Mercari, Facebook Marketplace, or in any other way try to profit off the Swap.

No. We encourage everyone in the community who would like to come and participate. Feel free to bring friends,  the more the merrier!

No. We would love to have you come join us for the fun, even if you do not have any items to contribute. There is no counting of items during drop-off or before you leave. (We only ask “Number of Items” on the registration so that we can prepare an appropriate number of tables.)

Yes! We provide early drop off times during the week of our event. Please sign up to let us know when you plan to come.

Any clean (non-expired) baby gear will be accepted.

In our church, we believe that family comes first. So children are always welcome, however, we will not have childcare for this event. Please be responsible for your children. We ask that they stay with you at all times.
