Merry Christmas!

Each December, Life Bible Church hosts a Toy Swap for the families in our area. Donations of gently-used toys and books are organized the week of the event. Then, on the day of the Toy Swap- free shopping for everyone!

Some families shop to help supplement their Christmas budgets while others receive the only Christmas they will have at no cost to them. Our volunteers delight in wrapping  your “new” toys, so moms, dads, and other caregivers can put them right under the tree!

Doors open December 9th @ 10 am and will close at noon.

Feel free to come early and enjoy coffee, tea, and refreshments while you wait for the fun to begin. Our address is 124 P. Rickman Industrial Drive, Holly Springs, Georgia.

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

– Hebrews 13:16

Donating

Sharing is a beautiful thing, and the Swap provides the Holly Springs community an opportunity to serve our neighbors. If you plan to donate items, these are the dates and times we are accepting donations:

  • Monday, December 4th,  3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, December 5th,  10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Wednesday, December 6th,  4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, December 7th,  6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Friday, December 8th, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Volunteering

It takes many hands to sort, organize and display the hundreds of toys and books we receive for the Swap. Would you consider volunteering to help us make Christmas brighter for Holly Springs’ families?

We are offering all of our Toy Swap volunteers the opportunity to shop early the day of the Swap. Here’s how it works:

  1. For each shift you volunteer, you shop early for THREE items.
  2. Volunteers shop early the morning of the Toy Swap.
  3. Once you have picked out your three items for each shift worked, you will take the toys to your car and can rejoin other shoppers in the lobby. Doors will open for everyone at 10 am!

Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk…without money and without cost.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The Swap is not “item for item.” Rather, it is a practical way that Life Bible Church shares with one another and the community at large. People register to drop-off their items. Then, they come back on the day of the Swap to shop. It is that simple! Life Bible Church members, along with volunteers from the community, work to organize the donated items, help people on the day of shopping, and keep things running smoothly. We hope you will donate, volunteer, or both!

Before the event items are sorted and placed on marked tables. During the Swap you are welcome to browse the tables and take whatever you can use for your family. There is no charge for anything!

During the Toy Swap, we accept gently-used or new toys and children’s books.

Please make sure all items are clean, recently washed, and free from smoke and pet hair.

Please carefully examine your items to make sure they are in like-new/gently-used condition.

No. We provide this community event in hopes to save families money. Please do NOT take items your family will not use. All remaining items are used to fund future swap events, or are donated to a local charity. Again, please do not take items to sell on Poshmark, Mercari, Facebook Marketplace, or in any other way try to profit off the Swap.

No. We encourage everyone in the community who would like to come and participate. Feel free to bring friends,  the more the merrier!

No. We would love to have you come join us for the fun, even if you do not have any items to contribute. There is no counting of items during drop off or before you leave. (We only ask “Number of Items” on the registration so that we can prepare an appropriate number of tables.)

Yes!  We provide early drop off times during the week prior to our event. Please sign up to let us know when you plan to come.

No. We only accept large baby gear items at our clothing swap that is held in the summer.

In our church, we believe that family comes first. So children are always welcome, however, we will not have childcare for this event. Please be responsible for your children. We ask that they stay with you at all times.
